A word from Enerdrive’s Director, Chris McClellan…
“I am very excited to share the news that yesterday, the 18th of May 2021 it was agreed that Enerdrive Australia is to be acquired by the Dometic organization. This is the greatest accolade for all of us within the Enerdrive team to be acquired by undoubtedly the global leader of our market space.
It’s been a wild ride till now, in what will be my 25th year of working in the Australian Mobile Power industry. I often share a story with my team of days gone by when it was always a hard sell to get our products onto a dealer’s shelves, to the craziness of today when demand is so strong we are struggling to keep stock on our own shelves – such a radical turn of events.
My wife and I in 2008 acquired what was to become Enerdrive from a great team of people in New Zealand called Advance Trident – a big shout out to those guys for giving us the chance to steer our own ship in Australia. We’ve ridden a few boom cycles, GFC and the crazy cycle of COVID (where fear and paranoia quickly evolved into the most exciting market place to be involved in).
I am very excited for the next evolution in the Enerdrive business and really look forward to being a part of the continuing journey. The Dometic acquisition allows Enerdrive to develop our market presence extensively with the backing of such an amazing organization. The entire team at Enerdrive remain doing exactly what they have done so well – selling, building and supporting amazing mobile power systems.
Our moto when we started Enerdrive was “Driving Your Energy Needs” – I know that the Enerdrive team have well and truly done this and made mobile power systems reliable, widely accepted and easy. It is only natural that the Dometic motto is “Mobile Living Made Easy”; which is truly what Enerdrive have done for travelers’ on the go. What a perfect fit 😊
